AI is becoming more and more available to help with many different things such as Grammarly helping with grammar, spelling, punctuation and plagiarism. You’ve also got AI chatbots and video editing software. AI is a machine learning algorithm.

These algorithms can be trained to automatically identify key moments and suggest trends in the data. Additionally, computer vision and image processing techniques can be used to enhance the quality of video footage and remove unwanted elements such as camera shake or noise.

These AI-powered tools can help streamline the video editing process, improve the final product, and save time and effort for editors. I will work alongside AI to help streamline my process and get edits out faster to my clients!

So What is AI?

AI stands for Artificial Intelligence, which refers to developing computer systems that perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. The tasks include learning, problem-solving, perception, and decision-making.

AI enables machines to learn from data and improve performance over time without being explicitly programmed. In addition to digital personal assistants such as Siri and Alexa, image recognition software, and self-driving cars, AI also has applications in the industry.

Simply put, AI is the creation of machines that think, learn, and make decisions just like humans.

How can AI Improve video editing and your workflow?

Firstly, AI-powered software can assist with tasks such as sorting and tagging video footage, making it easier to find the relevant clips during editing. As well as analysing footage and automatically generating suggested edits, AI can save editors a great deal of time and effort.

AI can also be used to enhance video footage quality by automatically adjusting colour, brightness, and contrast, or removing unwanted elements such as camera shake. AI can facilitate collaboration by facilitating remote collaboration and providing real-time feedback and suggestions.

Overall, AI can streamline the video editing process, improve the quality of the final product, and reduce the time and resources needed to complete a project.

What can go wrong?

While AI has improved video editing, it can also go wrong! One of the main issues is that AI-powered software may not always accurately interpret the creative editing, resulting in edits that do not align with the intended style or tone of the video.

Additionally, AI algorithms may make mistakes when identifying and categorizing footage, leading to inaccurate tagging or sorting of clips. Another concern is that AI may perpetuate biases or stereotypes if the underlying algorithms are not designed to address issues of diversity and representation.

Finally, there is always the risk of technical errors or glitches in AI that could lead to unexpected or undesirable results. As with any technology, it is important to consider the potential risks and limitations of AI in video editing and use it responsibly and with caution.

How can I make your videos a little bit more special?

By bringing the human touch you can have more control of the overall edit, and you can bring ideas to life through visual storytelling. I believe that the key to creating great videos is understanding the vision and audience.

That's why I always take the time to listen carefully and work closely with my clients to achieve their goals. Something an AI can’t do! With that being said, I will work alongside AI to help with my workflow and use it to my advantage to help get videos out faster to my clients!
